Periphery is currently hiring editors for its 58th edition, and all interested undergraduate students at Drake University are invited to apply! Duties for this paid, year-long position will include reading submitted manuscripts, working with other team members to choose what appears in the journal, and attending at least one (likely virtual) meeting per semester. Previous experience with professional writing and editing is preferred but not required.

To apply for an editor position, please submit the following to periphery.editors@drake.edu:

A current resume

A 3-6 page writing sample (Times New Roman, 12pt font, double spaced)

A cover letter addressing the following questions: Why do you want to be an editor for Periphery? What relevant experience do you have that would make you an excellent candidate for the position? What are your favorite genres to read and write? What experience do you have with literary journals?
